Walmart is the king of the retail market that introduced several new technologies to the industry for developing more efficient operations. The organization created RetailLink, an internet-based service for its suppliers, in 2013 and this tool would help them to get access to the information using the network. Walmart also introduced RFID in the retail market as the replacement of the barcode. Walmart did it when no one except the tech industry, was known to this technology. Frankly, it seems the market was not ready to adopt this technology as the network and the data analytics are not advanced enough (Malone, 2012). But in the current time, RFID is one of the most potential technologies for the retail industry. It is particularly beneficial for the fully automated retail store where the consumers can use the RFID technology to learn about all the information about the selected product. After completing the case study it seems that the network is the essential support in a cashier-less store.
